Mystischer Drang, Zaubergesang,
trillernder Klang, schwingt meilenlang.
Neblig und kalt - Worte so alt!
Schwalbengestalt fliegt aus dem Wald.
Durch Eis und Schnee flattert die Fee.
Sanft blickt ein Reh über den See.
Schnell wie der Wind fliegt sie geschwind
runter zur Au, durch Wiesentau.
Schwalbengesang breitet sich dann
allüberall durch Berg und Tal.
Am Menschendorf ist sie angekommen,
wo sie willkommen, fliegt sie ins Haus.
Zwischtert kräftig und aus voller Kehle,
Zwischert lieblich und mit ganzer Seele.
Flattert umher, kreuz und quer.
Weckt groß und klein: "Da ist der May'n!"
